Whether parking in a valet parking garage or on the street your car bumpers are most susceptible to being scuffed, scraped or damaged by a complete stranger.  The usual scenario is that you return to your car only to find your vehicle wedged tightly between two vehicles.  You wonder how on earth these other vehicles could have squeezed into such a small spot without striking your perfect bumpers.   That is until you check your bumpers only to find that there are two huge screw marks in your rear plastic bumper.   If your having an especially bad day the bumper may torn or the paint scraped on the corner.   Surprisingly, even the lightest of taps can cause significant damage to your auto’s bumper.   The cost of repairing a damaged car bumper can run several hundred dollars.  

The whole ordeal becomes an exercise in extreme aggravation.   The point is that we all want our cars to look great and there is nothing worse than an inconsiderate stranger damaging and ruining our car.   To fight back many people are buying plastic bumper guards, bumper protectors, bumper pads and other clever auto bumper protection devices that may help minimize damage to plastic bumpers.   Some of the most common products are rubber bumper guards and corner bumper protectors.   A variety of bumper protection products can be found in car washes and auto part stores.   These vinyl bumper protection products are practical because they are easy to mount and are usually weather resistant.   Unfortunately, some people take things to the extreme and stick a large number of these car bumper guards to their front and rear bumpers.   Oftentimes these bumper guards do not match the vehicles paint and make your once beautiful car offensively ugly.
